| Class Overview – Who is the Adept? | ||||||||||||||||
| Race Asura | The Adept is exclusive to the Asura race. It is the starting class from level 1. At Job Level 20, you can choose one of four advanced classes: Sorcerer (summoner/pet), Strider (agility/melee DPS), Dark Magician (pure magic DPS), or Warlock (curse/debuff specialist). | |||||||||||||||
| Role Dark Magic Caster | The Adept has dark magic spells that deal damage over time and crowd control. It also has a unique mana‑recovery skill (Mana Tap) and a defensive shield (Dark Shield). | |||||||||||||||
| Core Skills (Levels 1–20) | ||||||||||||||||
| Basic Dark Bolt | Basic ranged magic attack. Your primary damage skill at low levels. | |||||||||||||||
| Utility Dark Shield | Creates a shield that absorbs a fixed amount of damage. Essential for survival as a squishy caster. | |||||||||||||||
| Utility Mana Tap | Drains mana from the target (or sacrifices HP to restore MP). Helps sustain casting. | |||||||||||||||
| Stat Priority | ||||||||||||||||
| INT > VIT > WIS > DEX Intelligence (INT) – increases magical attack (primary damage). Vitality (VIT) – increases HP (survivability). Wisdom (WIS) – increases MP pool and magic resistance. Dexterity (DEX) – increases magic accuracy (less important early). | ||||||||||||||||
| Recommended Gear (Levels 1–20) | ||||||||||||||||
|
Weapon: Staff (two‑handed) for maximum magical attack, or wand + shield for defence. Armour: Cloth armour. Prioritise INT and VIT. Accessories: Rings and necklace with INT or MP. Soul Stones: Not needed until higher levels.
| Best Pets for Adept | ||||||||||||||||
|
Primary Pet: Any early‑game pet. The free Looting Pet from Trainee Island is essential. Belt Pets: None at this level. Active Pet: Use a tank‑type pet (if available) to hold aggro while you cast.
| Advanced Class Paths (Job Level 20+) | ||||||||||||||||
| ||||||||||||||||
| Playstyle Tips (Levels 1–20) | ||||||||||||||||
|
Questing: Follow the main questline on Trainee Island. Use Dark Shield before engaging groups. Farming: Cast Dark Shield, then spam Dark Bolt. Use Mana Tap when low on MP. Party play: Stay at range. Let the tank hold aggro. Progression: Reach level 20 and Job Level 20 as quickly as possible to unlock your advanced class.
⚡ FAST LEVELING TO JOB LEVEL 20
- Complete every quest on Trainee Island – they are designed to bring you to level 20.
- Kill monsters in the “Training Grounds” area (dense spawns).
- Use Dark Shield to reduce damage taken, and Mana Tap to keep your MP up.
- Once you reach level 20 and Job Level 20, return to your class trainer to choose your advanced class path.
💡 The Adept is a temporary class. Focus on Dark Bolt and Dark Shield. Do not invest heavily in skills you will not use in your advanced class.
