Complete Magus guide for Rappelz 2026 — stat build, skill priorities, best pets, gear progression and playstyle tips for Rappelz Tournament Epic 9.6.
Class Overview
Magus is the nature magic damage dealer of the Gaia race — a strong AoE farming class with better survivability than Void Mage and useful debuffing capabilities that add value in group content. Magus is recommended for players who want magic DPS with more durability than the pure glass-cannon Asura approach.
Primary Stat — INT and WIS
INT is the primary stat — all nature magic damage scales directly from it. WIS is secondary, increasing MP pool and magical defence. Unlike Void Mage, Magus benefits more from WIS investment due to the class’s slightly more durable design philosophy — a 70 INT to 30 WIS split is standard. VIT is only considered for PvP-specific builds where survivability outweighs raw damage output.
Core Skills
Best Pets
Pixie variant at Stage 5+. Magus benefits from the same M.Atk amplification that Void Mage uses. Pixie in formation increases the ticking damage of your nature DoT skills.
Fairy for cast speed, Pixie for M.Atk. The combination reduces cast time on AoE skills and increases damage — standard magic DPS belt setup.
Key Tips
Entangle is what separates good Magus players. Using Entangle proactively to root dangerous mobs before they engage saves HP potions, prevents accidents and makes your farming rotation cleaner. Use it liberally.
Magus is safer than Void Mage but slower. Accept the trade — the extra survivability from WIS investment and better class HP means you can farm longer sessions without dying at the cost of slightly lower peak clear speed.
In group content your debuffs add real value. Magus nature debuffs reduce enemy magical resistance — this benefits all magic damage dealers in your party, not just yourself. Maintain your debuff rotation in party dungeons.
