The Reborn system is one of the most powerful progression mechanics in Rappelz Epic 9.6 — and one of the least documented. This guide covers everything: how Reborn works, when to reborn, what you gain at each stage, and the optimal path from R1 through R30 on Rappelz Tournament.

What is the Reborn System?

Reborn is a prestige system that lets you reset your character’s level in exchange for permanent stat bonuses that carry over into every future life. Each time you reborn, you restart from level 1 but keep your Reborn bonuses, your equipment and your creatures. As your Reborn rank increases, your character becomes progressively stronger than a non-reborn player at the same level.

On Rappelz Tournament the system runs from Reborn 1 (R1) through Reborn 30 (R30), with meaningful power jumps at several key milestones. The server’s x100 rates mean the relevel process is fast — most players can complete a full reborn cycle in a few hours of active play.

What You Gain from Reborn

Permanent Stats

Each Reborn rank adds permanent increases to STR, INT, DEX, VIT and WIS. These bonuses stack with equipment and are always active regardless of your current level.

Reborn Rank Gear Access

Higher Reborn ranks unlock access to Ranked gear tiers — from Rare at R1 through Mythical at higher ranks. Ranked gear has significantly better base stats than standard equipment.

Skill Point Bonuses

Each reborn gives additional skill points that can be invested in your class tree. By R10 your skill point total is noticeably higher than a fresh character at the same level.

Creature Bonuses

Certain Reborn milestones unlock additional creature slots and improve the base stats of creatures in your formation. This is especially impactful for Beast Master, Master Breeder and War Kahuna.

Reborn Requirements

To reborn on Rappelz Tournament you need to meet the following conditions:

Reborn Range Min Level Required Notable Unlock
R1 – R5 Level 105 Rare ranked gear access (R1), base stat bonuses begin
R6 – R10 Level 120 Uncommon ranked gear, increased skill points, extra creature slot
R11 – R15 Level 140 Epic ranked gear access, significant stat increase per rank
R16 – R20 Level 160 Legendary ranked gear, advanced creature bonuses
R21 – R25 Level 180 Mythical gear tier access begins, major PvP power spike
R26 – R30 Level 200+ Maximum Mythical gear, Ares Final Awakening content, endgame PvP tier

How to Reborn — Step by Step

1
Reach the required level

Level up to the minimum required for your next Reborn rank. On Rappelz Tournament with x100 rates this typically takes a few hours of active grinding or dungeon runs.

2
Visit the Reborn NPC

Find the Reborn NPC in the main town. On Rappelz Tournament this NPC is located in Laksy near the central plaza. Talk to them and select the Reborn option.

3
Confirm and reset

The reborn process will reset your character to level 1 but your equipment, creatures, gold, skills and Reborn bonuses are preserved. You will immediately notice your stats are higher than a fresh character at the same level.

4
Re-level and repeat

Level back up to the next milestone and reborn again. Each cycle is faster than the last because your higher stats make leveling easier with each rank.

Key Milestones Worth Prioritising

Not all Reborn ranks are equal. Some ranks give noticeably larger power gains than others. Based on 10 years of running Rappelz Tournament, these are the milestones that matter most:

R1 — First Priority

Unlocks Rare ranked gear. The jump from standard gear to even the lowest ranked tier is significant. Push R1 as your first goal after reaching max level for the first time.

R5 — Gear upgrade

By R5 your permanent stat bonuses are substantial enough that farming becomes noticeably faster. A good milestone to farm ranked gear and stock up resources before pushing further.

R10 — Major power spike

R10 is considered the first major power wall in competitive Rappelz play. At R10 your stats are high enough that most casual PvE content becomes straightforward. This is the floor for serious PvP participation.

R20 — Legendary tier

Legendary gear access opens at R20 alongside advanced creature bonuses. R20 players have a noticeable advantage over R10 players in direct combat. The grind here is longer — plan around 2 to 3 weeks of regular play.

R30 — Endgame

R30 with Mythical gear and Ares Final Awakening is the current ceiling on Rappelz Tournament. Very few players reach this tier — it represents months of dedicated play and is the benchmark for top-tier Crystal Altar competitors.

Tips from 10 Years of Server Experience

Do not spend heavily on gear before R10. Ranked gear becomes available at every tier as you reborn. Spending large amounts of in-game gold on standard gear you will replace within a few ranks is a common mistake new players make.

Prioritise Skill Points at every reborn. Re-invest skill points thoughtfully each time you reset. Your skill build at R5 should be more refined than your R1 build as you understand your class better.

Keep your creatures leveled across reborns. Creature levels are retained through the reborn process. A well-leveled creature at R1 is significantly more powerful than a low-level creature at R5.

Join guild events at every Reborn rank. Guild dungeons and Crystal Altar participation give rewards that accelerate the reborn grind regardless of your rank. The community on Rappelz Tournament welcomes players of all Reborn levels.
