Before You Start — Key Things to Know
On Rappelz Tournament EXP, Drop and Gold are all x100. What takes weeks on official servers takes hours here. Most players reach level 200 in 15–25 hours of active play.
The main questline is your fastest EXP source from levels 1 to 30 and again at 180–200. Don’t skip it — quests also reward gear upgrades at key level breakpoints.
Party EXP bonuses are significant in Rappelz. A full party in Vulcanus or Abyss levels 30–40% faster than solo at the same zone. Ask in guild chat for party members.
Don’t waste rare taming cards on creatures you’ll replace in 10 levels. Focus on leveling first and build your pet setup seriously after reaching your Master Class at level 50.
Level 1–30 — Tutorial and Starting Zone
Start by completing every quest in the tutorial chain in Horizon. These quests are designed to teach you core mechanics and reward you with starter gear at several key points. On x100 rates you will hit level 30 in roughly 30–45 minutes by following quests alone.
- Complete the tutorial NPC quest chain first — introduces mechanics and gives starter pet
- At level 10 do your first job transfer — significant skill unlock
- Pick up every quest you see — at x100 rates even grey quests give useful EXP
- Do not invest in gear here — you’ll replace everything within 10 levels
Level 30–100 — Vulcanus Dungeon
Vulcanus is your first major leveling dungeon and where you will spend most of your time between levels 30 and 100. The fire-themed dungeon has multiple floors with progressively stronger mobs — start on floor 1 and move deeper as your level increases.
- At level 50 complete your second job transfer and unlock your Master Class — a major power spike
- Floors 1–2 are good for levels 30–60, floors 3–4 carry you to level 100
- Vulcanus drops useful crafting mats and early gear — pick everything up and sell what you don’t need
- Party with a Cardinal or War Kahuna if you can — the buff and heal support makes a large difference to clear speed
- Your main goal here is reaching level 100 for the Reborn system unlock
Level 100–140 — Crystal Dungeon
Crystal Dungeon unlocks at level 100 and is a significant step up in both difficulty and EXP rewards. The mobs here hit considerably harder than Vulcanus — bring potions and ensure your gear is reasonably upgraded before entering.
- A tank is strongly recommended — mobs in Crystal Dungeon can overwhelm unprotected DPS players
- This is also where you should complete your first Reborn if you haven’t already — at level 105
- Crystal Dungeon drops the materials needed for gear upgrades in this level range
- AoE classes like Void Mage and Mercenary shine here — their mass damage clears packs efficiently
- Aim to complete the main questline alongside dungeon farming — quests give large EXP bonuses at levels 110, 120 and 130
Level 140–170 — Circus Dungeon
Circus Dungeon bridges the gap between Crystal Dungeon and Abyss. The mobs have unique mechanics compared to earlier dungeons — some apply debuffs and status effects that require active management rather than just tank-and-spank play.
- Bring status cure potions — Circus mobs apply various debuffs more frequently than earlier dungeons
- At level 160 upgrade to Dragon Armor (Red or Blue Dragon sets) — a significant power upgrade
- BPOC identification on Dragon Armor at this stage — pick the top skill bonus for your class
- Continue Reborn cycling through this range — aim to reach Reborn 5 by level 170
- Dragon weapon unlock at level 160 is your priority gear target in this range
Level 170–200 — Abyss Dungeon
Abyss is the primary endgame leveling dungeon and the best source of Ranked gear drops in the game. Abyss Normal unlocks at level 170 and has the highest EXP per hour of any zone in the game on floors 3 and 4. This is where serious progression begins.
- Abyss Normal floors 3 and 4 give the fastest EXP per hour in the game — prioritise getting here
- Bosses in Abyss Normal drop Rare Ranked gear — your first tier of meaningful endgame equipment
- Always party in Abyss — the difficulty requires a balanced group, solo is possible but much slower
- Prioritise the main questline between level 185 and 200 — guaranteed large EXP jumps at 185, 190 and 200
- At level 200 the Reborn system fully unlocks — this is where your real endgame progression begins
Level 200+ — Abyss Hard Mode and Endgame
Abyss Hard Mode unlocks at level 200 and is the primary endgame farming zone. This is where Epic and Legendary Ranked gear drops. The enemies hit significantly harder than Normal mode — a proper party composition with tank, healer and DPS is required.
- Level 200+ is all about Reborn cycling and gear progression rather than raw leveling
- With x100 rates re-leveling after each Reborn takes 3–6 hours depending on your Reborn rank
- Abyss Hard Mode drops Epic and Legendary Ranked gear — your gear targets for Reborn 10–20
- At Reborn 20+ the level cap raises to 230 — Abyss Hard Mode remains the primary farming zone
- Join a progression guild — organised Abyss Hard Mode runs with a coordinated party are significantly faster than pugs
