| System / Feature | Introduced In | Key Mechanics & Requirements | Rewards / Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Taming How To Tame | Base Game |
Requirements: Empty Creature Card, Creature Taming skill (learned from Evoker Rudimyu on Trainee Island), Creature Control skill. Process: Target a monster → use “Creature Taming” → wait for charm bar to fill → defeat the monster. Important: The monster must be at full health before using the taming skill. |
• Success: The empty card becomes a tamed creature card. • Failure: The empty card is destroyed (can buy another from Merchants). • Classic pets have fixed skills and attributes. |
| Soul Taming Soul Taming System | Epic 8.2 |
Four card rarities: Basic, Special, Rare, Unique – each required for specific creatures. Randomized traits: Attack type (Tank, melee DPS, ranged DPS, magic DPS, Heal), skills, and attribute points are rolled randomly. Unique appearance: The creature retains its exact visual characteristics (colour, eye count, etc.) when tamed. Ain vs Beast: Cards display a face icon – human-like for Ain, animal-like for Beast, with species symbols below. |
• Nearly every monster in the game becomes tamable. • Pets can fill any role (tank, healer, damage dealer). • Each tame feels unique with randomized stats and skills. • Card colour coding makes rarity identification easy. |
| Boss Taming Epic 8.3 Boss Taming | Epic 8.3 |
19 Unique Bosses: Butkadah, Soul Seeker, Skeleton Dragon, Takin, Crustalino, Ashmaw the Devourer, and more. 5 Special World Bosses: Ruino, Aborex, Hektor – found in open fields. 14 Rare Mini-Bosses: Viridyos, Vulcanos, Julius Ormu, Müllschredder, and others. Attack types: Only 3 instead of 5: Melee, Ranged, Magic (no Tank or Heal for bosses). Unique bosses can learn additional passive skills at level 150 and 155. |
• Command legendary bosses as personal allies. • Unique creatures are more powerful than standard Soul Pets. • Bosses have respawn timers, adding challenge to taming. • Special world bosses like Hektor offer ultimate bragging rights. |
| Combination Creature Combination (Staging) | Epic 7: Breath of Darkness |
Rules: Combine two identical tamed creature cards + Soul Catalyst. Maximum Stage: 5. Success: New Stage 1 pet (level resets to 1) with increased stats and +8 extra Job Points. Failure: One creature card and Soul Catalyst are destroyed; the main slot card remains. Joker Card: Obtained randomly from failed combinations; boosts success chance when used as sub-material. Durability: Enhanced pets have durability that drains when killed – repair with Soul Catalyst + empty same-type card (guaranteed success). |
• Stage 3 pets gain a new visual appearance. • Higher stages unlock new abilities at level 50 and 100. • Unity skill max level increases by +1 per stage. • Stage 5 is the ultimate goal for serious tamers. |
| Evolution Pet Evolution Stages | Base Game |
3 Evolution stages: Each with a unique appearance and access to stronger skills. Evolution 1 → 2: Requires pet level 50 (can overlevel to 51–60 for bonus attributes). Evolution 2 → 3: Requires pet level 100 (can overlevel to 101–115 for bonus attributes). Overbreeding (Überzüchten): Delaying evolution and leveling further grants 2 Job Points per level instead of 1, plus access to exclusive skills. Evolution NPC: Visit a Breeder NPC in any major city. |
• Each evolution changes your pet’s appearance. • Higher evolution stages unlock more powerful skills. • Overbreeding produces the strongest possible pet. • Evolution cannot be reversed – plan carefully. |

• Automatically collects dropped items from defeated monsters. • Saves time and keeps inventory management efficient. • Perfect for farming sessions and dungeon runs. • Permanent version is a worthwhile investment. |
| Artifacts Creature Artifacts | Epic 7 |
Obtaining: Monsters drop spirits → exchange spirit + Artifact Fragment at Creature Enchanter for a random artifact. 11 artifact types: Each gives a different bonus to your creature (e.g., increased damage, defense, health). Creature-specific: Artifacts only work for the creature type they were obtained from (e.g., Poultry artifacts cannot be used on Tortus). |
• Equip artifacts to significantly boost pet performance. • Farm specific monster types to target desired artifacts. • Random acquisition means repeat farming may be needed. • Artifacts are essential for end-game pet optimization. |
📘 STEP-BY-STEP: HOW TO TAME YOUR FIRST PET
- Learn the skills: Visit Evoker Rudimyu on Trainee Island to acquire Creature Taming, Creature Control, Summon Creature, and Recall Creature.
- Get an empty card: Purchase an Empty Creature Card from a Merchant NPC in the main square of Trainee Island.
- Find your target: Almost every creature in the game is tameable – start with low-level monsters on the island.
- Cast Creature Taming: Target the monster at full health and use the skill. Wait for the charm bar to fill.
- Defeat the monster: Once charmed, kill it. The chat window will announce the result.
- Success or failure: If successful, your empty card becomes a tamed creature. If it fails, the card is destroyed – buy another and try again!
- Summon your companion: Open the Creature Formation window (Alt+Y). Drag your tamed card into a slot, then use Summon Creature.
💡 Pro Tip: Higher-level Creature Taming skills increase your success rate. Consider using Creature Taming Skill Cards for better chances.
🌟 SOUL TAMING CARD RARITIES & IDENTIFICATION
Basic (Common)
- Most common creatures
- Easiest to obtain
- White/grey card border
Special (Uncommon)
- Stronger creatures
- Higher base stats
- Green card border
Rare
- Powerful, sought-after pets
- Lower drop rates
- Blue card border
Unique

⚠️ IMPORTANT: CARD RARITY MATCHING
You must use a Soul Taming Card that matches the creature’s rarity level. A Basic card cannot tame a Rare or Unique creature. Always check the creature’s information window – the colour coding in the corner tells you if it is tamable with your card.
📈 EVOLUTION & OVERBREEDING (ÜBERZÜCHTEN) GUIDE
| Current Stage | Minimum Level | Overbreeding Range | Max Level Before Forced Evolution | Bonus Per Overbreed Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 → 2 | 50 | 51 – 60 | 60 | +2 Job Points per level (instead of 1) |
| Stage 2 → 3 | 100 | 101 – 115 | 115 | +2 Job Points per level + exclusive skills |
💡 WHY OVERBREED?
Overbreeding (delaying evolution to gain additional levels) is the key to creating the strongest possible pet. Each overbreed level grants 2 Job Points instead of 1, and some powerful skills are only available to overbred pets. If you want the absolute best companion, always overbreed to the maximum level before evolving!
