| Class Overview – Who is the Knight? | ||
| Race Deva | The Knight is an advanced Deva class reached at Job Level 40 (from Fighter). It is a defensive tank that uses a shield, heavy armour, and auras to protect the party. Later evolutions are Paladin (Job Level 80) and Templar (Master Class). | |
| Role Primary Tank (group content) | The Knight’s job is to absorb damage, keep enemies focused on them, and provide defensive support to allies. Core skills include Provocation (taunt), Shield Mastery (passive defence), and Holy Aura (party defence). Lacks some of the advanced tools of the Templar but is very effective for mid‑game. | |
| Core Skills – Must‑Max | ||
| Tanking Provocation | Forced taunt. Causes the target to attack you for a short duration. Essential for controlling aggro. | |
| Passive Shield Mastery | Increases block rate and reduces damage taken when a shield is equipped. Max this immediately. | |
| Active Shield Strike | Basic damage skill that generates high threat. Use on cooldown. | |
| Aura Holy Aura | Party buff that increases physical defence and magic defence of all party members within range. Costs mana per second but is invaluable in dungeons. | |
| Stat Priority | ||
| VIT > STR > DEX > AGI Vitality (VIT) – increases HP and physical defence. Primary stat. Strength (STR) – increases physical attack (improves threat generation) and a small amount of HP. Dexterity (DEX) – increases block rate and accuracy. Agility (AGI) – increases attack speed (faster threat generation). | ||
| Recommended Gear | ||
|
Weapon: One‑handed sword or mace + shield. Shield is mandatory for Shield Mastery. Armour: Plate (heavy) – prioritise VIT, HP, and physical defence. Accessories: Rings/necklace with VIT, HP, block rate. Soul Stones: Vitality (VIT) in all sockets.
| Best Pets for Knight | ||
|
Primary Pet: Stone Golem (HP, P.Def) or Tortus (HP, M.Def). Belt Pets: Stone Golem, Tortus, Yeti (STR for threat). Active Pet: Any tank‑type pet or a damage pet to help with solo farming.
| Playstyle & Rotation | ||
|
PvE (Dungeon): Keep Holy Aura active. Open with Provocation on the strongest enemy. Use Shield Strike on cooldown. Use potions and defensive cooldowns when taking heavy damage. Face bosses away from the party to avoid cleaves. PvP: Use Provocation to force enemy DPS to attack you. Holy Aura protects your party. Not a damage dealer – focus on disruption and survival.
📈 PROGRESSION – KNIGHT → PALADIN → TEMPLAR
- Knight (Job Level 40–79): Basic tank with taunt, shield mastery, and Holy Aura.
- Paladin (Job Level 80+ original cap): Gains improved auras, stronger Shield Smash, and passive defence bonuses.
- Templar (Master Class): Ultimate tank with Divine Protection (damage reduction), Righteous Purpose (HP from P.Def), and Imbued Light (tanking stance).
💡 If you plan to tank end‑game content, aim to reach Templar as soon as possible. The Knight is viable for dungeons up to level 150.
🌾 SOLO LEVELING & FARMING
The Knight is not the fastest solo class, but it is very safe:
- Pull multiple mobs using Provocation or body pulling.
- Activate Holy Aura for extra defence.
- Use Shield Strike and other AoE skills (if available) to clear packs.
- Invest a few skill points in Shield Bash for stun.
