Rappelz Overlord Guide 2026 — INT Build, Armageddon & Pet Combos
Overlord is Rappelz’s INT-based magic pet class — essentially a Void Mage that fights through its creatures. Armageddon is your only attack skill. Your pets provide the tanking, healing and supplementary damage while you cast. Belt setup, boss cards, toggles, gear skills, pet combos and titles for Rappelz Tournament Epic 9.6.

Class Overview
Overlord is an INT-based magical pet class — think Void Mage, but your pets do the tanking and healing while you cast Armageddon. It sits at #3 server viability behind Templar and Void Mage: better survivability than VM in endgame content (pets heal, Creature MP Extract solves mana issues in Battle of Ancients where VM struggles), and a playstyle that rewards good pet management over mechanical complexity.
⚠️ Critical clarification: Overlord is NOT a physical melee class. Armageddon is M.Atk based. Your passives (Electric Synergy, Unholy Synergy) transfer your INT to pets. Your weapon is a 1-handed Mace + Magewall. Investing STR or VIT as primary stats is a common mistake that wastes the class entirely.
Important Passive Skills
Base level 10: increases summoned creatures’ INT by 50% of the player’s INT. Increases 5% per level. This is why stacking INT directly benefits your pets — it transfers.
Base level 10: increases summoned creatures’ INT and STR by 30% of the player’s INT and STR. Increases 3% per level. Combined with Electric Synergy, your INT investment multiplies through both passives to your pets.
Base level 30: increases all abilities of summoned creatures — HP, Atk, Def and HP regen. Increases 3% per level. Use Circus Rings for +5 Creature Mastery for significant gains.
Belt, Stats & Weapon
Boss Cards
Both viable early options. Knowledge for MP reduction while you’re still managing mana. Lunacy for healing on attack. Use either until Devil Reviac is obtainable.
Priority endgame card. Note: your pets are NOT your primary damage source — Armageddon is. Don’t spend resources on pet-specific boss cards at the expense of your own Reviac.
Skills & Toggles
Your only offensive skill. M.Atk based AoE. Gather mobs, cast Armageddon, repeat. That’s Overlord. Everything else exists to support this one skill.
Heals you for a percentage of damage dealt. Use proactively to maintain HP.
Use on cooldown in Battle of Ancients and any area with MP recovery disabled. Solves the mana issue that Void Mage struggles with in the same content. Gold LL adds Hymn of Tranquility as additional MP recovery.
Active Toggles
M.Atk support for pets — keep active since pets are M.Atk based.
15.6% percentage increase — better than Inspiration’s flat 400 once pet stats exceed 4,000. Use once your main pet is above that threshold.
Redirects damage taken to pets. Essential — without Camper + Pass Damage you will die very fast.
Increases HP by ~100k. Toggle on during heavy damage phases. Re-toggle when running pulls since pets go out of range.
Concentration + Asuran Haste. Apply before combat sessions.
Gear Skills
Increases INT by 20% at base, scaling to 30%/40%/50% at higher levels. Massive damage multiplier — this is the long-term correct gear skill. Currently bugged — does not work. Switch the moment a patch fixes it.
Raze increases M.Atk for Armageddon. Electric Synergy gear skill boosts pet INT transfer. Use these until Mastermind is patched.
Formation Pets & Combos
Standard starting setup. Crystal Golem tanks and absorbs damage via Pass Damage. Ethereal Pixie provides Elemental Harmony. When you move to endgame content (Crystal Valley and beyond), Ethereal Pixie takes too much damage — transition to Gold LL as soon as possible.
Gold LL has devil resistance that reduces most endgame mob damage — survives where Ethereal Pixie cannot. Astaroth (Gold CG) provides Master Devotion and massive HP. If no Astaroth, a regular S5 Crystal Golem works fine.
Important: Summon Liquid Lust last — Pass Damage applies to the last summoned pet. LL has a smaller HP pool than CG/Astaroth, so keep aggro on Crystal Golem/Astaroth. Both pets don’t need Master Devotion active simultaneously.
Advanced Pet Combos — by BonaFide
Wind Pixie gear: 2H mace, boots, Cruel Tula or Pet Fury ring, 2x Magical Attack artifacts, INT + Crit stones.
Hector gear: 2H axe, boots, Cruel Tula or Pet Fury ring, 2x Magical Attack. INT + Crit stones — Hector is hybrid but benefits most from INT on an Overlord build.
Unity rule (BonaFide): Always use max level LL/EP unity and turn the other pet’s unity down by 1 level — this ensures LL/EP unity is the active one on you at all times.
NPC Buff & Titles
Gives INT and attack — the highest M.Atk bonus of the bunch. Use every time.
50% damage reduction. Without Camper + Pass Damage you die very quickly. Mandatory for all content.
+100 all stats. Swap in at high reborn when survivability allows.
Stack both sub-titles alongside main title for maximum stat coverage.
Key Tips
Keep pets at level 180 after reborn. Don’t over-level pets — if they’re higher than your character level they count as high-level pets and prevent you from getting EXP. Keep them at 180 so they’re ready to summon the moment you re-hit 180 during the reborn grind.
Aura of Halisha vs Inspiration. Halisha gives 15.6% increase — better than Inspiration’s flat 400 once your main pet’s stats exceed 4,000. Check your pet’s stats before deciding which to use; below 4,000, Inspiration can win.
Right-click pets to auto-activate abilities. When you use Creature Attack, abilities will trigger automatically. Keep healing abilities on your own hotbar (not just the pet bar) so you can activate them quickly when taking heavy damage.
Might of the Underworld re-toggle when pulling. If you run to pull mobs, pets go out of range and the toggle deactivates. Always re-activate Might of the Underworld once mobs are gathered and you stop moving.
This should probably be your second character, not your first. Shimejii recommends building Overlord as an alt after your main class — you can then use your main to power level it in Crystal Valley (tab method: attack with main’s Lightning/Fire Field, switch to Overlord for kill credit, main gets no EXP).
