Obtaining Where to Get Soul Stones
  • Monster drops: All monsters have a chance to drop Basic Soul Stones (higher drop rate in higher‑level zones).
  • Dungeon chests: End-of-dungeon chests (e.g., Cubric, Sky Fortress) often contain stones.
  • Crafting: Combine lower‑tier stones using a recipe (see Upgrading section).
  • Auction House: Buy from other players.
  • Event rewards: Limited‑time events sometimes give Epic Soul Stone boxes.
Socketing How to Insert Soul Stones
  1. Identify socketed gear: Not all items have sockets. Check item tooltip for “Sockets: X”.
  2. Right‑click a Soul Stone in your inventory.
  3. Click on the equipment item you wish to socket (must have an empty socket).
  4. Confirm. The stone is permanently inserted. If you later want to replace it, the old stone is destroyed (no extractor exists).

⚠️ Stones cannot be removed without destruction. Only socket stones into gear you intend to use long‑term.

Upgrading Basic → Rare → Epic You can upgrade Soul Stones to higher tiers at a Jewelry NPC (e.g., Blacksmith or Gem Merchant) using:
  • 3 identical Basic Stones → 1 Rare Stone (100% success).
  • 3 identical Rare Stones → 1 Epic Stone (100% success).
  • Epic Stones cannot be upgraded further.

💡 Always upgrade stones before socketing – the stat gains are significantly higher.

Priority Class‑Specific Stone Recommendations Physical DPS (Slayer, Berserker, Deadeye, Marksman): Strength (STR) > Dexterity (DEX) > Agility (AGI) > Vitality (VIT)
Magical DPS (Void Mage, Magus, Oracle, Chaos Magician): Intelligence (INT) > Wisdom (WIS) > Agility (AGI) > Vitality (VIT)
Tanks (Templar, Mercenary, tank Berserker): Vitality (VIT) > Strength (STR) > Dexterity (DEX) > Agility (AGI)
Healers (Cardinal, support Oracle): Intelligence (INT) (affects healing) > Wisdom (WIS) > Vitality (VIT) > Agility (AGI)

🔧 SOCKET LIMITS PER EQUIPMENT SLOT

  • Weapon (one‑handed): Up to 2 sockets.
  • Weapon (two‑handed): Up to 4 sockets.
  • Helmet / Armor / Boots / Gloves: Up to 2 sockets each.
  • Accessories (rings, necklace, belt): Up to 1 socket each.

💡 Prioritise socketing your weapon first – it provides the most impactful stat boost.

🗺️ BEST SOUL STONE FARMING LOCATIONS

  • Cubric Dungeon (level 150+): High density of monsters; each clear gives multiple Basic Stones.
  • Island of Forgotten Gods (level 170+): Elite monsters drop Rare stones occasionally.
  • Sky Fortress raid (level 220+): Bosses frequently drop Epic stones.
  • Alcatraz dungeon (level 240+): End‑game area with high drop rates for all tiers.

❌ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

  • Socketing Basic stones directly: Always upgrade to Epic first – Epic stones give triple the bonus.
  • Placing wrong stone type: Do not socket Intelligence on a physical DPS weapon.
  • Socketing leveling gear: You will replace it quickly – save stones for end‑game equipment.
  • Forgetting maximum socket limits: Some items have fewer sockets than you think.
