Dungeon Guides

🐻 Bear Dungeon — Level 20–40

Entry: Level 20 Solo or party No key required

The Bear Dungeon is the first group experience for new players on Trainee Island. It teaches basic party mechanics in a forgiving environment. Bring a balanced party: one tank, one healer, and damage dealers.

  • Final boss: Giant Bear — simple tank-and-spank mechanics
  • The Giant Bear has a charge attack — tanks should keep it facing away from the group
  • Drops: basic gear, creature cards, early rupees

🌋 Vulcanus — Level 50–100

Entry: Level 50 Floors: 4 Solo or party

Vulcanus is a fire-themed dungeon built on four progressively harder floors. It is the primary leveling zone from levels 50 to 100 and the first major dungeon new players encounter. Boss rush runs are faster than mob clearing.

Floor breakdown
  • Floor 1–2 — Suitable for levels 30–60. Solo viable. Basic fire mobs with straightforward attack patterns.
  • Floor 3 — Levels 60–80. Mobs apply fire debuffs. A Cardinal or healing pet recommended.
  • Floor 4 — Boss floor. Vulcanus Guardian drops the Lava Gear Set and belt pets (Koala, Snowman).
Tips
  • Equip Koala + Snowman belt pets before farming for increased drop rates on Lava Gear
  • Bring fire resistance potions for floors 3 and 4
  • The Vulcanus Guardian respawns on a fixed timer — coordinate with guild members

🏯 Hidden Village — Level 50–80

Entry: Level 50 + quest Party recommended

The Hidden Village has roaming patrol mobs that can overwhelm careless groups. Use crowd control and pull packs one at a time. Multiple mini-bosses: Shadow Assassin and Ancient Defender require careful management.

  • Shadow Assassin has a teleport backstab — healers should stay mobile and avoid being caught out of position
  • Drops: rare creature cards, skill cards, mid-tier equipment
  • Entry requires a Hidden Village Pass (obtainable from Cash Shop or events)

💎 Crystal Dungeon — Level 100–150

Entry: Level 100 Floors: 5 Party recommended

Crystal Dungeon is the AoE farmer’s paradise — large groups of crystal-type mobs in open rooms. Crystal mobs reflect a portion of physical damage, making this an ideal hunting ground for Void Mage and Magus. Best EXP per hour in the 100–150 range when run correctly.

Floor breakdown
  • Floor 1–2 — Entry floors. Crystal Shards drop here for the Crystal Armor crafting set.
  • Floor 3–4 — Main farming floors for levels 110–130. Higher mob density and better enhancement material drop rates.
  • Floor 5 — Boss floor. Crystal Golem drops Crystal gear set and Soul Catalysts for pet staging.
Tips
  • Physical DPS classes should bring damage reflection reduction potions or use magic pets
  • Void Mage + Cardinal duo is so efficient here that experienced players skip full party composition
  • Soul Catalyst drops on floor 5 are excellent — prioritise boss kills in the 120–130 range

⚰️ Temple of Lost Souls — Level 100–150

Entry: Level 100 Party recommended

Located near the Navis Lamia cemetery. Darkness-element mobs, strong against magic. Boss: Soul Reaper — summons spirit adds at 75%, 50% and 25% HP. Clear adds quickly or they will heal the boss. Bring holy damage for bonus effectiveness against undead mobs.

  • AoE crowd control is essential during Soul Reaper add phases
  • Drops: Spirit items, high-end creature artifacts, Lost Soul equipment set
  • Entry requires a Spirit Key (drops in the surrounding zone)

🎪 Circus Dungeon — Level 140–170

Entry: Level 140 Floors: 4 Party recommended

Circus Dungeon has a unique performer-and-beast aesthetic. The key mechanic shift here is status effects — mobs apply confuse, slow and fear debuffs more aggressively than any previous dungeon. Status cure potions are not optional here.

Floor breakdown
  • Floor 1–2 — Standard mobs with occasional debuffs. Good EXP for levels 140–155.
  • Floor 3 — Mass AoE fear and confuse. Cardinals and debuff-cleansing classes become essential here.
  • Floor 4 — Boss: Circus Master. Drops Dragon Armor set pieces and unique boss cards.
  • Bring 50+ status cure potions per session — you will use them constantly on floor 3
  • Dragon Armor from the boss floor is best in slot from level 160 until entering Abyss

🔮 Cubric — Level 150–200

Entry: Level 150 Party required

Cubric introduces the immunity phase mechanic — the Cubric Keeper boss alternates between physical and magic immunity every 20 seconds. Watch the boss’s aura colour: red means physical immune, blue means magic immune. Coordinate your party’s damage types to avoid wasted DPS.

  • Bring both physical and magic DPS classes — relying on one damage type will stall the fight
  • Drops: cube fragments, legendary creature eggs, high-level refinement materials
  • Entry requires a Cube Shard (obtained from the entry quest)

🌑 Abyss Normal — Level 150–180

Entry: Level 150 Floors: 6 Party required

Abyss Normal is the gateway to endgame content. Rare Ranked gear starts dropping here — the first tier of equipment that scales meaningfully with Reborn rank bonuses. Floors 3 and 4 have the highest EXP per hour of any zone in the game at this level range.

Floor breakdown
  • Floor 1–2 — Entry floors. High physical damage output from mobs.
  • Floor 3–4 — Best EXP per hour in the game. Primary farming floors for levels 170–200.
  • Floor 5 — Elite mobs with combined physical and magic attacks. Rare Ranked drops increase here.
  • Floor 6 — Boss floor. Abyss Warden drops Rare and Uncommon Ranked gear plus high-tier boss cards.
Required party composition
  • Templar — essential. Without aggro control DPS players die quickly on floor 3+
  • Cardinal — essential. Incoming damage on floor 4+ is too high for potions alone
  • War Kahuna — highly recommended. Party buffs raise DPS efficiency by 20–30%
  • DPS ×3 — any combination of AoE and single target classes

💀 Abyss Hard Mode — Level 180–200+

Entry: Level 180 Floors: 6 Full party required

Abyss Hard Mode is the primary endgame content. Epic and Legendary Ranked gear drops exclusively here. A disorganised party will struggle from floor 1. Minimum Rare Ranked gear +9 and Reborn 10+ before attempting.

Floor breakdown
  • Floor 1–2 — Entry check. If your party struggles here, gear up more in Normal first.
  • Floor 3–4 — Primary farming floors. Epic Ranked drops with meaningful frequency from elite mobs.
  • Floor 5–6 — Legendary drops. Well-coordinated parties with Reborn 15+ only. The Hard Mode Boss on floor 6 is the hardest PvE encounter in the game outside raids.

👿 Devildom — Level 170+

Entry: Level 170 Party required

Devildom runs parallel to Abyss as the second endgame dungeon path. Dark demonic architecture, its own unique gear set with different stat weightings useful for PvP-focused builds. Some classes prefer Devildom gear for specific hybrid build paths.

  • Devildom gear provides different stat weightings compared to Abyss — useful for PvP and hybrid builds
  • Devildom-specific crafting materials are required for certain advanced item upgrades
  • The Devildom Boss drops unique boss cards not available in Abyss
  • Running both Abyss and Devildom is recommended for access to both gear sets

🔥 Party Vulcanus — Level 200–220

Entry: Level 200 + Ancient Koala quest Party required

Party Vulcanus is a separate high-level dungeon accessed via NPC Raniye in Rondo — distinct from the original Vulcanus. Three difficulty modes: Easy (Level 200), Normal (Level 210), Hard (Level 220). All rooms must be cleared to advance to the next floor. Keys are limited to 10 per day from Raniye.

  • Hard mode drops the best materials for crafting Lava Wings
  • Drops: Lava Drop, Lava Box, Lava Cube, Advanced Lava Cube, Typhon Scroll
  • Do not skip rooms — all must be cleared before the floor progression portal opens

🏰 Sky Fortress — Level 220–260

Entry: Level 220 + Epic 9.7 quest Raid — daily attempt

Introduced in Epic 9.7. A raid dungeon accessed from Rondo via the Epic 9.7 quest chain. Mid boss and final boss Devil Skeleton. The raid duration was originally 4 hours but was later reduced. Bring a full raid party for the final boss.

  • Daily attempt — consumed at the moment of entry, whether the raid succeeds or not
  • Drops: Luciad Iron Mask, Luciad Medals, high-tier enhancement materials
  • Drop rates in Sky Fortress were increased as part of the Epic 9.8 update

⛓️ Alcatraz — Level 240–260

Entry: Level 240 + Epic 9.10 quest Raid — daily key

Added in Epic 9.10 (February 2025). The current highest-tier dungeon in Rappelz. Boss: King of Alcatraz. Scalable difficulty system rewards both skilled coordination and gear investment. The primary source for Rank 8 Mithril accessories.

  • Drops: Rank 8 Mithril accessories (Ring, Necklace, Earrings of Bloodlust), Creature Transformation Potions
  • Entry key obtained from the Epic 9.10 daily quest
  • See the Epic 9.10 guide for full boss mechanics

🛡️ Guild Dungeon

Entry: Any level Guild owned Guild members only

Guild Dungeons are owned by guilds that win Crystal Altar siege battles. Exclusive access for guild members only. Guild points earned here contribute to guild level upgrades. Exclusive crafting materials feed into high-tier enhancement and pet upgrade recipes.

  • Only accessible to members of the owning guild
  • Join an active guild that owns a dungeon — one of the strongest incentives for guild membership
  • The owning guild can also set tax rates on gold and Lak earned by all players in the zone

Universal Dungeon Tips

Always bring consumables. Potions, status cures and enhancement scrolls — going into a hard dungeon under-prepared wastes time and costs your party their run. Stock up before entering.

Know your role. DPS classes attack the target the tank is holding aggro on — do not pull new mobs. Healers monitor all party members, not just the tank. Buffers refresh buffs proactively before they expire.

Always have your pet summoned. An unsummoned pet is wasted combat power, especially in dungeons where pet damage and tanking contribute significantly to party efficiency.

Check boss respawn timers. Most dungeon bosses respawn on a fixed timer. Ask in guild chat or Discord before running — arriving at a dead boss after clearing several floors is avoidable with basic coordination.

Communicate with your party. Dungeon runs fail because of communication breakdowns more often than gear issues. Tell your tank when you need to reposition. Tell your healer when you are low. Use Discord voice for harder content.
