⛏️ Shaft 1 ⛏️ Shaft 2 ⛏️ Shaft 3
FeatureDetails
Location & Entry Requirements
Location Entrance Palmir – western cliffs, near the abandoned mine cart (coordinates approx. –220, 150). Look for a wooden entryway with a sign: “Lost Mines”.
Level Range Recommended level 30–60. Mobs are level 28–45.
Quest Required Complete “Miner’s Plight” from Foreman Torgan in Palmir. After that, free entry.
Dungeon Structure – Three Shafts
Shaft 1 Kobold Workers (level 28–32), Kobold Scouts (level 30–35). Small rooms, linear path.
Shaft 2 Kobold Shamans (level 35–40) – they heal nearby allies. Kill them first. Also Kobold Warriors (level 38–42).
Shaft 3 Elite Kobold Captain (level 45) as a mini‑boss. After defeating him, the path to the Foreman opens.
Final Boss – Foreman
Abilities Rock Throw (ranged attack, stun for 2 seconds), Summon Kobolds (calls 3 helpers), Enrage at 20% (faster attack speed).
Strategy Face boss away from party. Kill summoned Kobolds immediately. At 20%, use defensive cooldowns and finish quickly.
Rewards & Loot
Common Drops Rupees (500–2000), Health Potions, low‑tier equipment (white/green).
Rare Drops Kobold Worker pet card, Kobold Shaman pet card, “Foreman’s Pickaxe” (quest item, turn in for extra XP).
Boss Drops “Torn Map Fragment” (starts a quest for a better dungeon), low‑grade Enhancement Stone fragment.

📜 QUESTS – “MINER’S PLIGHT”

  • Quest Giver: Foreman Torgan in Palmir (south side, near the mine cart).
  • Objective: Collect 10 “Miner’s Tools” from Kobold Workers in Shaft 1.
  • Reward: 5,000 XP, 1,000 Rupees, “Miner’s Helmet” (head gear, level 35).
  • After completing the quest, you can enter the Lost Mines freely (no key required).

💡 The Lost Mines is excellent for leveling from 30 to 50. The dense Kobold spawns make it faster than open‑world farming.

⚔️ SOLO vs. PARTY

  • Solo: Easily soloable by level 40+ characters. Use a pet to tank the Foreman.
  • Party (2–3 players): Faster farming. A healer is not required but helpful.
  • Full party (5): Overkill – mobs will die too fast, reducing efficiency.

📜 HISTORICAL NOTE

The Lost Mines were one of the first dungeons added to Rappelz (circa Epic III). While not relevant for end‑game, it remains a nostalgic farming spot for low‑level pet cards. Some players still run it for the “Kobold Shaman” pet – a decent early magical pet.
